Instructor George helps explain why a SLE kite is the only way to go when buying your first Kitesurfing Kite. ''After your kitesurfing Lessons you will no doubt be eager to buy your first kitesurfing kite. This kite needs to be the right kite for you not the coolest kite available on the market. The ideal kite first off needs to be the correct size, getting a kite that is too big or too small will only limit the days you can get out on the water. The kitsurfing kite needs to have a large wind range, this is where the SLE part comes in, if you buy a supported leading edge kite you will have a bigger wind range than a C kite for example, therefore you naturally have more days of kitesurfing available to you. One of the main advantages is that the SLE kites have a simpler immediate depower system so just simply letting go of the bar will cut a huge amount of power out in the kitesurfing kite and allow you to restart again when you are ready.''
